A quick and comforting Japanese soup made with miso, tofu, seaweed, and green onions, ready in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Water

  • 4 cups water

Miso paste

  • 2 tablespoons miso paste

Silken tofu

  • 1/2 cup silken tofu, cubed

Green onions

  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Seaweed (wakame)

  • 1/4 cup seaweed (wakame), rehydrated

Soy sauce

  • to taste soy sauce (optional)

Instructions 

  • Bring water to a gentle boil in a pot.
  • Stir in miso paste until dissolved.
  • Add tofu and seaweed, simmer briefly.
  • Remove from heat, add green onions, and season with soy sauce if desired.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust soy sauce to taste for saltiness.
