Ingredients

Fruits

  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg beaten egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch pan.
  • Mix mashed bananas, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
  • Add vanilla and beaten egg; stir until combined.
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Combine dry ingredients with banana mixture; fold in nuts or chips if using.
  • Pour batter into pan, bake 20-25 mins. Cool before cutting.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of cinnamon or mix in chocolate chips.
