A quick and delicious homemade beef and broccoli stir-fry that captures the flavors of Chinese take-out.
Ingredients
Meat

pound
beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2
cups
broccoli florets
3
tablespoons
soy sauce
2
tablespoons
oyster sauce
1
tablespoon
cornstarch
1
tablespoon
vegetable oil
3
cloves
garlic, minced
1
teaspoon
ginger, minced
1/2
cup
beef broth
to taste
salt and pepper
for serving

Instructions
Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Marinate beef for 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a skillet, stir-fry garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
Add beef, cook until browned (3-4 min), then remove from skillet.
Stir-fry broccoli 2-3 min until bright green and tender.
Return beef, add broth, cook 2-3 min until sauce thickens and broccoli is crunchy.
Serve over cooked rice.
Notes
Use high heat for stir-frying to prevent steaming the vegetables.
