Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup grated beetroot
  • 1/4 cup urad dal flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • as needed water (to make batter)
  • as needed oil (for cooking)

Instructions 

  • Mix rice flour, urad dal flour, beetroot, cumin, salt, and turmeric.
  • Add water gradually to form a smooth, pourable batter.
  • Heat a skillet and lightly grease with oil.
  • Pour batter and spread into a thin circle, then cook until golden and crispy.
  • Flip and cook the other side briefly, then serve hot.

Notes

Use a non-stick pan for best results and serve with chutney.
