A delicious and festive dish perfect for Christmas gatherings, featuring jumbo pasta shells filled with cheesy spinach mixture and topped with marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 20 pieces jumbo pasta shells

Cheese

  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg egg

Vegetables

  • 2 cups spinach, chopped

Sauces

  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Spices & Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper

Garnish

  • fresh basil for garnish

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook shells until al dente, drain.
  • Mix ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, spinach, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Stuff shells with cheese mixture, place in baking dish, pour marinara over, and top with remaining mozzarella.
  • Cover with foil, bake 25 minutes, then uncover and bake 10 more minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh basil and ensure shells are cooked al dente.
