A classic and delicious green bean casserole perfect for Thanksgiving, combining creamy, cheesy, and crispy flavors.

Ingredients

Green Beans

  • 2 cans green beans, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup french fried onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix soup, sour cream, milk, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and cayenne (if using).
  • Add green beans and half of fried onions; stir gently.
  • Pour into a greased 9x13 inch dish and top with cheese.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, then add remaining onions and bake 10-15 more minutes.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or paprika.
