A hearty and cheesy casserole combining ground beef, zucchini, and flavorful cheeses, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey for a lighter option)

Vegetables

  • 2 medium zucchinis sliced zucchinis
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Dairy & Sauces

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or coconut milk for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce (optional, for added flavor)

Spices & Seasonings

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for sautéing Olive oil

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook ground beef in olive oil until browned; drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic; cook 2-3 mins. Stir in zucchini, herbs, salt, and pepper; sauté 5-7 mins.
  • Mix in heavy cream and tomato sauce; simmer 2-3 mins. Transfer to greased dish.
  • Top with shredded cheeses. Bake 15-20 mins until bubbly and golden.
  • Let cool briefly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a lighter version, use turkey and dairy-free cheese options.
