A hearty and easy one-pan dinner combining ground beef, potatoes, and cheese for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef

Vegetables

  • 4 medium potatoes potatoes, sliced

Dairy

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk

Other

  • 1 onion chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • chopped parsley for garnish (optional) chopped parsley

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook onion and garlic in olive oil until softened, then add ground beef, season, and brown. Drain excess fat.
  • Mix mushroom soup and milk, coat potatoes, then layer half in a greased dish. Add beef and top with half cheese.
  • Add remaining potato mixture, cover with remaining cheese, and bake covered 45 mins, then uncovered 15 mins.
  • Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve.

Notes

For a healthier option, use lean ground beef and low-fat cheese.
