  • 1 batch cornbread, cubed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 0.5 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Melt butter in a skillet; sauté onion and celery until soft.
  • Add garlic, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute.
  • Mix cornbread, sautéed vegetables, and parsley; whisk broth and eggs, then combine.
  • Transfer to a greased dish and bake 30-35 minutes until golden.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or chopped cooked sausage.
