  • 1 box Jiffy Cornbread Mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 0.5 cup chopped celery
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare and bake cornbread as per package, then crumble into a bowl.
  • Sauté onion and celery in melted butter until softened.
  • Mix crumbled cornbread, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, herbs, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  • Transfer to a greased dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of additional herbs or spices.
