Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté garlic for 1 minute.
  • Add mushrooms and cook until golden, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour in heavy cream, simmer, then stir in Parmesan until thickened.
  • Season with salt and pepper, add pasta, toss to coat.
  • Garnish with parsley if desired, serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
