A delightful and creamy pasta dish featuring tender chicken and a bright lemon sauce. Perfect for a quick and satisfying weeknight meal.

  • 1 lb chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 8 oz farfalle pasta
  • 4 tbsp salted butter, separated
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp parsley, dried
  • 1.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.33 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lemon, zest & juice
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 0.66 cup pasta water
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Boil pasta according to package directions.
  • Chop chicken, sauté with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until cooked. Set aside.
  • Sauté minced garlic with 2 tbsp butter, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper until fragrant.
  • Add chicken broth, heavy cream, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Lower heat, add parmesan cheese and pasta water. Stir until smooth.
  • Add cooked pasta and chicken to the sauce. Combine evenly.
  • Add remaining 2 tbsp butter. Combine. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve with fresh parsley, lemon zest, and parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

Notes

Adjust the amount of lemon juice and zest to your preference for a more or less pronounced lemon flavor.
