  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound pasta (linguine or fettuccine)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
  • Heat olive oil, add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp, cook 2-3 minutes per side, then remove.
  • Pour in cream and lemon juice, simmer.
  • Stir in Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Add pasta water if needed.
  • Add pasta and shrimp, toss to coat.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

Adjust lemon juice and red pepper flakes to your taste preference.
