Delight in these rich, chewy nut bars topped with smooth dark chocolate and a hint of sea salt, perfect for a quick snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Mixed Nuts and Dates

  • 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)
  • 1 cup pitted dates

Chocolate and Topping

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch dish with parchment.
  • Process nuts and dates until sticky mixture forms, then press into dish.
  • Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil over low heat, then stir in vanilla and sea salt.
  • Pour chocolate over nut layer and spread evenly, then sprinkle extra sea salt if desired.
  • Refrigerate for 2 hours until set, then lift out and cut into bars.
