A quick and flavorful pasta salad combining cooked pasta, chicken, and fresh vegetables, perfect for a light meal or picnic.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)

Chicken

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced

Sauces and Cheese

  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella balls, halved
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Seasonings

  • to taste salt and pepper

Garnish

  • optional fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Combine cooked pasta and diced chicken in a large bowl.
  • Mix in pesto sauce until well coated.
  • Fold in cherry tomatoes and mozzarella.
  • Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle Parmesan and toss gently.
  • Garnish with basil leaves if desired and serve immediately or chill for up to 2 hours.

Notes

This salad is best enjoyed fresh but can be refrigerated for a short time before serving.
