This classic green bean casserole is a perfect side dish for Thanksgiving, combining creamy mushroom soup, crispy onions, and melted cheddar cheese for a flavorful and easy-to-make dish.

Ingredients

Green Beans

  • 2 cans green beans, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1.5 cups crispy fried onions
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix green beans, mushroom soup, milk, half of onions, and half of cheese.
  • Transfer to casserole dish, season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, then top with remaining cheese and onions.
  • Bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly, then serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of garlic powder or paprika.
