A quick and nutritious pasta dish featuring vibrant broccoli and flavorful garlic, perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Pasta

whole grain pasta
Vegetables

cups
broccoli florets
Oils & Condiments

tablespoons
olive oil
Garlic & Spices

cloves
garlic, minced
1/4
teaspoon
red pepper flakes
Seasonings
to taste
salt and pepper
Cheese & Citrus
1/4
cup
grated parmesan cheese (optional)
fresh lemon juice (optional)

Instructions
Cook pasta until al dente, reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
Heat olive oil, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for 1-2 minutes.
Add broccoli and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Combine pasta with broccoli, add reserved water if needed, season with salt and pepper.
Stir in Parmesan and lemon juice if desired, serve immediately.
Notes
You can add more lemon juice or cheese to taste for extra flavor.
