A quick and healthy stir-fry combining crisp broccoli, hearty chickpeas, and flavorful garlic for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional red pepper flakes
  • optional sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add broccoli and stir-fry 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender.
  • Mix in chickpeas and cook 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes; cook 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to add a squeeze of lemon for extra freshness.
