A classic holiday side dish featuring tender green beans in a creamy mushroom sauce topped with crispy fried onions.

Ingredients

Green Beans

  • 2 cans green beans, drained
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/3 cups french fried onions

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix green beans, mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper in a bowl.
  • Pour into a 1.5-quart casserole dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Stir in 2/3 cup of fried onions, top with remaining onions, and bake for 10 more minutes.
  • Serve warm as a festive side dish.

Notes

For extra crunch, add more fried onions on top before the final bake.
