A vibrant and refreshing fruit salad perfect for a healthy brunch. Packed with sweet and tangy flavors, it's easy to prepare and full of nutrients.

Ingredients

Canned Fruits

  • 20 ounces pineapple chunks
  • 2 large firm bananas (sliced into 1/4-inch pieces)
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 15 ounces mandarin oranges (drained)
  • 1 medium red apple (sliced)
  • 1 medium green apple (sliced)
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 0.33 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions 

  • Drain and combine all canned fruits in a large bowl.
  • Add sliced bananas, red and green apples, and green grapes to the bowl.
  • In a small saucepan, mix sugar and cornflour with orange juice and lemon juice; heat until thickened, then cool.
  • Pour the cooled syrup over the fruit mixture and toss gently to combine.
  • Serve immediately or chill before serving.

Notes

This fruit salad is best enjoyed fresh and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours.
