A nutritious and delicious baked pasta dish combining lean chicken, fresh broccoli, and melty light mozzarella for a wholesome meal.
Ingredients
Pasta

whole wheat pasta
Chicken
1
lb
boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced
Vegetables
2
cups
fresh broccoli florets
Dairy & Oils
1
cup
low-fat milk
1
cup
shredded light mozzarella cheese
1
tablespoon
olive oil
Spices & Seasonings

teaspoon
garlic powder
1
teaspoon
onion powder
to taste
Salt and pepper
Optional Garnish

fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook diced chicken until browned and cooked through.
Steam or blanch broccoli florets until tender.
In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, chicken, broccoli, milk, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Transfer mixture to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
