Ingredients
Green Beans

fresh green beans
(trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces)

sliced mushrooms

onion

butter

all-purpose flour

vegetable broth

heavy cream

teaspoon
garlic powder

teaspoon
soy sauce
to taste
salt and pepper

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Blanch green beans for 3-4 minutes, drain.
Cook onion and mushrooms in butter until softened, then stir in flour and cook 1 minute.
Whisk in vegetable broth and heavy cream, cook until thickened, then add garlic powder, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
Mix green beans with sauce, transfer to baking dish, top with fried onions, and bake 25-30 minutes.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of thyme or paprika to the sauce.
