A classic holiday side dish with tender green beans, creamy mushroom sauce, and crispy fried onions for added crunch.
Ingredients
Green Beans

pound
fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
1
can
cream of mushroom soup
(10.5 oz can)
0.5
cup
milk
1
cup
grated cheddar cheese
1
cup
crispy fried onions
to taste
salt and pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Blanch green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and place in a bowl.
Mix mushroom soup, half the fried onions, milk, and cheese; combine with green beans. Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
Top with remaining fried onions and bake for 10 more minutes until golden.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a dash of garlic powder or paprika.
