A flavorful and creamy Indian-inspired dish cooked quickly in the Instant Pot, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 unit onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Salt to taste

  • to taste salt

Garnish

  • for garnish fresh cilantro

Instructions 

  • Marinate chicken with yogurt and spices for 30 minutes.
  • Sauté onion in butter until translucent, then add garlic and ginger.
  • Add chicken and tomatoes, then pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and remaining butter, season with salt, and garnish with cilantro.

Notes

Serve with rice or naan for a complete meal.
