A simple yet flavorful pasta dish featuring a creamy lemon butter garlic sauce. This Pasta Al Limone is quick to make and perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 1 pound pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine) (your choice)

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • optional Red pepper flakes

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta until al dente, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant (1 minute).
  • Stir in lemon juice and simmer.
  • Add pasta to skillet and toss.
  • Add Parmesan and parsley, toss with pasta water for desired consistency.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Serve with extra Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

Adjust the amount of lemon juice and Parmesan cheese to your liking for a personalized flavor.
