Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces spaghetti

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled deveined)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 0.25 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions 

  • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions, reserving 1 cup pasta water.
  • Cook shrimp with butter, salt, and red pepper until pink. Set aside.
  • Sauté garlic in remaining butter. Add parmesan, lemon juice, and pasta water to create sauce.
  • Toss spaghetti with sauce. Add shrimp and combine.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve.
