Ingredients
Pasta

(spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine)
Sauce

olive oil

garlic

red pepper flakes

lemon juice
(freshly squeezed)

pasta water
(reserved)
1/4
cup
fresh parsley
(chopped)
to taste
Salt and pepper

Grated Parmesan cheese
(for serving)
Instructions
Cook pasta until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), cook until fragrant (1 minute).
Pour in lemon juice and zest. Simmer for 1 minute.
Add pasta to skillet and toss to coat.
Gradually add pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
Stir in parsley.
Season with salt and pepper.
Serve with Parmesan cheese (if desired).
Notes
Adjust the amount of lemon juice and red pepper flakes to your preference.
