  • 1 pound pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or linguine)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • Optional fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  • Combine pasta, olive oil, garlic, chicken broth, and water in a pot.
  • Bring to a boil, then simmer until pasta is cooked and liquid absorbed (15-20 minutes).
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, and butter.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with parsley, if desired.
