A quick and flavorful fried rice dish perfect for dinner, combining rice, vegetables, and optional protein with savory seasonings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup sautéed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken or tofu (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • green onions for garnish

Instructions 

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add vegetables and protein, cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Push ingredients aside, scramble eggs until cooked.
  • Add rice, mix well, then stir in soy sauce and sesame oil.
  • Season with salt and pepper, serve garnished with green onions.

Notes

Use day-old rice for best results and quick cooking.
