This flavorful Korean ground beef bowl is quick to prepare and perfect for a satisfying meal. It combines savory, sweet, and spicy flavors over rice for a delicious, homemade takeout experience.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • cooked for serving rice
  • for garnish sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour sauce over beef and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve over rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

You can add a fried egg on top for extra richness.
