This quick and easy lemon garlic shrimp pasta is a flavorful dish that's perfect for a weeknight meal. It combines succulent shrimp with a bright lemon garlic sauce, tossed with perfectly cooked pasta.

8ouncesspaghetti or linguine(or linguine)
Shrimp
1poundshrimp(peeled and deveined)
Sauce
4clovesgarlic(minced)
3tablespoonsfresh lemon juice(from 1 large lemon)
1largelemon zest(Zest of 1 large lemon)
3tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
2tablespoonsunsalted butter
0.5teaspoonred pepper flakes(optional)
a handfulfresh parsley(chopped)
to tasteSalt and freshly ground black pepper
for servingGrated Parmesan cheese(optional)
Instructions
Boil salted water, add pasta, and cook until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
Pat shrimp dry, season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet. Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), stir until fragrant (30 seconds).
Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp.
Lower heat, add pasta and reserved water to the skillet. Toss with garlic-lemon butter sauce. Add lemon zest and juice, season with salt and pepper.
Return shrimp to the pan, toss to warm through (1 minute).
Sprinkle with parsley and toss.
Serve with Parmesan cheese and lemon wedges (optional).
