A comforting and easy-to-make chicken stroganoff cooked slowly to develop rich flavors, perfect served over rice or noodles.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

Vegetables

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced

Liquids and Sauces

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions 

  • Place chicken strips in slow cooker, then add onion, garlic, and mushrooms on top.
  • Pour in chicken broth, add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  • Stir in sour cream and cook for 15 more minutes on low.
  • Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, add a little more sour cream at the end.
