A classic Southern side dish combining tender green beans with creamy mushroom soup, cheddar cheese, and crispy fried onions for a flavorful casserole.
Ingredients
Green Beans
2cansgreen beans, drained
1cancream of mushroom soup
0.5cupmilk
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
1cupfried onions
0.5teaspoongarlic powder
0.5teaspoonblack pepper
0.5teaspoonsalt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix green beans, mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
Stir in 1/2 cup cheddar and 1/2 cup fried onions.
Pour into a greased 9x13 inch dish and bake 25 minutes.
Top with remaining cheddar and fried onions, bake 10-15 minutes.
Let cool briefly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or paprika.
