Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C). Cut squash, drizzle with olive oil, season, and roast for 35–40 minutes.
Let squash cool, then scrape flesh into strands. Brown beef with onion and garlic, add tomatoes, tomato paste, marinara, and Italian seasoning.
Mix squash strands into the beef mixture, transfer to baking dish, top with cheese, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute the beef with plant-based protein or vegetables.
