Instructions
Preheat oven as per tater tot bag instructions. Brown ground beef in a skillet, season with salt and pepper, then set aside.
Melt butter, sauté mushrooms and shallots for 3-5 minutes, then add garlic and cook 1 minute. Whisk in flour, cook 1 minute, then gradually add broth and milk, stirring constantly. Add tamari, ketchup, Worcestershire, and paprika; simmer until slightly thickened.
Stir in cooked beef, top with tater tots, and bake according to bag instructions. Let sit 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use a cast iron skillet for best results and ensure tater tots are evenly spread for crispiness.
