A classic holiday side dish featuring tender green beans baked with creamy mushroom soup and crispy onions.
Ingredients
Green Beans

fresh green beans, trimmed

cream of mushroom soup
(10.5 oz can)

milk

french fried onions

teaspoon
soy sauce
to taste
salt and pepper

shredded cheddar cheese
(optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Blanch green beans in boiling salted water for 5 minutes, then drain.
Mix mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Add green beans and stir.
Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with fried onions and cheese if using.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
For a lighter version, skip the cheese.
