Delight in these rich, chocolatey cookies topped with glossy ganache and festive sprinkles, perfect for Valentine's Day.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ganache

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Decoration

  • as needed sprinkles or edible glitter

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix dry ingredients; set aside.
  • Cream butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla. Combine with dry ingredients to form dough.
  • Scoop dough onto baking sheet; bake 10-12 minutes. Cool cookies.
  • Heat cream until simmering; pour over chocolate chips, stir until smooth.
  • Dip cooled cookies in ganache; decorate with sprinkles or glitter.

Notes

Ensure cookies are completely cooled before dipping in ganache for best results.
