A flavorful vegan dish featuring crispy tofu in a zesty coconut lime sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and cubed

Liquid

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest

Sauces & Condiments

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Oils & Aromatics

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated

Seasonings

  • to taste salt and pepper

Garnish

  • for garnish fresh cilantro

Instructions 

  • Whisk coconut milk, lime juice, lime zest, soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic, and ginger.
  • Marinate tofu in the mixture for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook tofu until golden, then pour marinade over and simmer until sauce thickens.
  • Season with salt and pepper, garnish with cilantro, and serve hot.

Notes

Press tofu well to remove excess moisture for better browning.
